Gregory Chandler on USA Olympic Medal Count

We are early in the 2012 London Olympic Games.  The USA and China are battling for the lead in medals.  I predict that the USA will prevail in the medal count by the end of the games.

The Opening Ceremonies for the 2012 London Olympic Games begin today. 

Mitt Romney earns a tin medal for his pre-Olympic Games comments. 

The British media has hounded poor Mitt for being a cad.

Go for the gold next time Mitt.

GREGORY CHANDLER--2012 London Olympics

The 2012 London Olympics will start on July 27, 2012.  I am getting ready.  The Olympics have always been special for me.  I was in Los Angeles, California for the 1984 Olympic Games.  I was in Seoul, Korea for the 1988 Olympic Games.  I was in Atlanta, Georgia for the 1996 Olympic Games.  

I will not be in London for the 2012 Olympic Games.  I did visit London in year 2000 for an American Bar Association annual meeting.  I did enjoy my time in London.

Gregory Chandler -- Some Attention for Serena Williams

Serena Williams won the 2012 Ladies' Championship at Wimbledon.  Serena Williams also won the 2012 Ladies Doubles Championship with her sister, Venus Williams.

I think that it is time for the United States media to tone down the attention given to Maria Sharapova, a Russian citizen, and focus on the Williams sisters who are native-born United States citizens.
